Aamir Khan ready to play Lord Krishna
Fresh from the success of Ghajini, Aamir Khan is eyeing an epic project in the future- nothing less than making a screen version of the epic Mahabharatha

“Mahabharata is a story that is very close to my heart. I want to do a film for sure, but not at this moment because you need to do full justice to that. When you are making a film on the Mahabharata, you cannot afford to make mistakes. One has to be very careful, and at the moment, I don’t have the guts.” he revealed to the media.

Then comes the inevitable question - what character would he like to play if he made the Mahabharata?

Naturally everyone expects him to don the mantle of any of the two heroes - Karna or Arjun, but after much deliberation he says, “Unfortunately, I cannot do it because of my height…I don’t look like a warrior, so I cannot do that role. I am not six feet tall, so these roles will not suit me.”

So which role will suit him? But of course, Krishna comes the quick response. Says Aamir, “…the best role for me would be that of Lord Krishna’s.”

Unfortunately, the divine role will have to wait, because as of now Aamir is considering Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s offer of playing the great actor-director Guru Dutt in an upcoming project.

Mehra is the director of the much-acclaimed Rang De Basanthi, which brought accolades to Aamir Khan in the past.

So, Aamir will definitely prefer to complete his project before he shoots the Epic. I think this info is informative..
